During the Golden State Warriors 118-112 loss to the Houston Rockets, Draymond Green injured his ankle, but he said he doesn’t expect to miss time.

Draymond Green re-aggravated the ankle he twisted in the first quarter against the Rockets, a game the Golden State Warriors failed to complete the comeback in, losing their first post-All-Star Weekend game.

The Warriors lost to the Houston Rockets for the third time this season. This time, it was against a Harden-less Rockets. While the Warriors started with a healthy squad, they didn’t end that way as Green left with an injury during the third quarter.

Green shared his thoughts on his ankle following the game, giving an update most Warrior fans should be excited to hear.

Durant was also asked about Green’s injury. Let’s just say he didn’t seem to concerned for Green either.

Prior to being injured, Green got quite a game in. He played 24 minutes, scoring four points while also contributing four rebounds and three assists. Green was just 2-for-6 from the field and 0-for-2 from three

If Green to were to miss time with this injury, he might not have kissed away just a few games, but he might have seen millions upon millions fly out the window.

Green’s already missed 15 of the Warriors 59 games this season.

If he were to miss anymore, he might be exiting the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year, an honor he’s already won. This season, Green is already behind players like Rudy Gobert and Paul George quite a bit, but if he misses more time, he’ll withdraw his own name from the conversation.

That said, it’s great to hear him say he won’t miss time. However, we also know that the night after those ankle injuries is the worst time for them.
