LaMarcus Aldridge has locked down the power forward position, becoming the team’s most lethal scoring option.
Along with LA, the Spurs could secure one of the best frontcourts in the league if they are able to sign DeMarcus Cousins. DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray would bolster the team’s backcourt.
The Spurs may not be the best team in the West, but with the right coaching, they’d certainly be a threat in the postseason. Currently ranked ninth in points per game for centers, the Spurs get contributions from several players at the five.
Condensing three players production to just Cousins might help the Spurs. While not an elite option, Cousins could help San Antonio regain their spot as one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
Also, the Spurs have limited cap space to work with this offseason so signing Cousins might be their only chance at a meaningful addition.
