Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have the opportunity to right their wrong.

With Dwight Howard basically useless this season, the Wizards could go out and sign John Wall‘s collegiate teammate, DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins, Wall and Bradley Beal could thrive together, taking turns giving it to the opposing teams in each of their own unique ways.

That trio along with a lottery pick could take the Wizards at least past the first round in the Eastern Conference. Cousins ties to Wall and the uptick in pay are the reasons why he’d choose Washington.

Last year, Washington traded their long-time big man Marcin Gortat, leaving a vacancy at the five. Cousins could fill that void and be the Wizards most dominant big man of the decade.

The Wizards rank 28th in scoring for the center position, so signing a high-impact center should be a priority for them this offseason anyway. The Wizards wouldn’t have to offer Boogie a max, but they would be forced to toss more than the Dubs could offer, which shouldn’t be hard to do.

Why not unite the former teammates?
