New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are one of the top potential landing spots for Kevin Durant, a close friend and current teammate of Cousins.

The Knicks would immediately be the favorite to the Finals if they secured Durant, Cousins, another superstar since they can offer two max contracts, and Zion Williamson since they will likely have the No. 1 overall pick.

The league’s worst team, the rich history around the Knicks and, more generally, the attraction of the city of New York might allow the stars to shine on the national platform. We know Durant respects and loves playing at Madison Square Garden.

It’s probably the same for Cousins. After trading Kristaps Porzingis and waiving Enes Kanter, the Knicks have no identity at the five.

Insert DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins and his grit would revive the Knicks. If the duo of Cousins and Durant head to New York, they’d quickly be considered a top contender in the East.
