According to recent reports, the Golden State Warriors are interested in signing Andrew Bogut.

Andrew Bogut and the Golden State Warriors go way back. The history between Bogut and the Warriors is rich and full of great memories. Now, a few years since their split up, the Dubs are interested in signing Bogut once again.

Bogut first became a member of the Warriors in the 2012-13 season. It didn’t take long for him to prove himself as a useful center that could score consistently. His ability to rebound the ball and protect the paint became his best attributes.

As the Warriors rose to the top of the NBA, Bogut became a crucial member of the team. His rebounding and shot blocking helped propel the Warriors to become one of the best defensive teams in the entire league.

By the 2014-15 season, Bogut was celebrating as the Warriors won their first championship in over 40-years.

Unfortunately, Bogut was traded away in the 2016-17 season when his place with the team no longer felt like a good fit. He played briefly with the Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers before heading to the NBL, where he plays for the Sydney Kings in Australia.

With the Kings, Bogut has been averaging 11.4 points,11.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game en route to becoming both the Most Valuable Player and the Defensive Player of the Year.

It is clear that he is still capable of having an impact on an NBA team. His size will always make him a threat on the glass and his timing for blocking shots is still top notch. Many teams will be interested in fighting for Bogut, but the Warriors should have the advantage.

With the Warriors, Bogut had his most successful NBA seasons. For his Warriors career, Bogut averaged 6.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. His presence would be welcomed by the Warriors and this would be a good move for both parties.
