While every team in the NBA is attempting to dethrone the Golden State Warriors, the Dubs remain at the top of the food chain.

The Golden State Warriors might not be having their best season to date, but they are still the best team in the league. Sure, the Dubs have looked vulnerable at certain points but there is no doubt that when the NBA Playoffs begin, the road to an NBA championship will go through the Warriors.

The reason behind the Warriors recent falters are obvious. Injuries to multiple key players such as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green all played a role in causing the Dubs to lose more games than they should have.

On top of this, the team has been dealing with constant pressure from the media and outside forces. Most of the controversy is circled around the looming free agency decision of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. The future of these two players will play a huge part in deciding the fate of this dynasty.

Above all else, the rest of the league has gotten better in general. Multiple teams look like they can give the Dubs a run for their money. The Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets are fully loaded to make a push for a championship while the Eastern Conference is better than it has been in years.

The Warriors are the number one target for every contending team. Whenever the Dubs show up to play a game they can expect to get the opponents full strength and attention. Every team in the league is trying to take down the Warriors and this is taking a toll on the Dubs.

Next. The Warriors are victims of their own success. dark

Despite this, Golden State is still at the top of the food chain. They have the best record in the Western Conference and lead the league in points and field goal percentage. When the playoffs start, the Warriors will prove themselves as the best of the best.
