5. Brooklyn Nets

The first team on this list is the Brooklyn Nets. They are obviously supreme underdogs with very little chance of reaching the Finals, but they are worth mentioning at the number five spot.

Brooklyn has been one of the most surprising teams in the league. Despite being ransacked for their draft picks a few years ago by the Boston Celtics, the Nets have done a phenomenal job rebuilding their team.

Young players like Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert have proven to be great draft picks. Allen is an elite shot blocker while LeVert has shown flashes of offensive greatness.

Meanwhile, the Nets have struck gold on De’Angelo Russell and Joe Harris. This two players had basically been given up on by their previous teams, only to have breakout seasons with Brooklyn. Russell became a first-time All-Star this season while Harris is one of the league’s best 3-point shooters.

The Nets probably won’t make it through the East, but they will give someone a load of problems to deal with in the Playoffs.
