Darius Miller

Another free agent sniper that’ll be on the market is the Pelicans’ Darius Miller. The soon-to-be 29-year-old Miller has averaged a career-high 8.0 points per game this season. He’s also making a career-high 1.9 threes per game.

The Warriors’ biggest need on their current roster is a backup for Klay Thompson. Even if they re-sign Klay Thompson, the Warriors will still need a player to be a capable backup to their five-time All-Star.

One downside to Miller is that he’s shooting under 40% from the field. To add to that, Miller’s three-point percentage went down to just over 37% from over 41% last season. He needs to be an efficient scoring threat to get high-volume time in Golden State.

Throughout his career, he’s proven to be efficient. With the Warriors, most players seem to see an uptick in percentages, so the team should trust that Miller would find success in the Bay.

However, given his recent success, if Miller would be willing to sign a contract that Golden State could match is still up in the air. Miller could the new Leandro Barbaso, the Warriors former elite sixth man.
