The Golden State Warriors have had some interesting moments this season, so today, let’s analyze the Dubs team chemistry.

A big question that has constantly surrounded the Golden State Warriors is how will a team stacked with All-Star talent manage to compete together on the same court. Up until this season, the Dubs had passed with flying colors in team chemistry.

The Warriors were a perfect example of selflessness. From 2014 to now, the Dubs contained zero players with their own selfish intentions. Everyone on the roster was committed to winning a championship and were willing to sacrifice individual statistics in order to achieve that goal.

This mentality was put to the test when Kevin Durant joined the squad. Stephen Curry was fresh off of back to back NBA MVP awards and could very easily have won another one. Instead, Curry sacrificed nearly three shot attempts a game to accommodate the scoring talents of Durant.

Now, the Dubs are once again being tested with the addition and debut of DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins is only one year removed of being the best center in the league and is without a doubt still wishing to return to an elite level.

However, the Warriors issues don’t stop there. The looming free agency decision’s of Klay Thompson and Durant have been hanging over the teams head all year. This has already caused one altercation between Draymond Green and KD and numerous more with the media.

To highlight all of the tension, we have recently seen a video in which Kerr seemingly says he is “tired of Draymond’s shit” as well as a moment in the Houston Rockets game in which Green forcibly held Cousins back from the referee.

When watching the Warriors play, it certainly appears that they are no longer playing with the same fluid chemistry they once had. Cousins’ temper has the entire team on edge while Durant’s free agency has created a rift between him and the rest of the Dubs.

Despite this, it is hard to say that the Warriors don’t like playing with each other. Golden State leads the entire league with 29.7 assists per game. Furthermore, the amazing leadership qualities of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have done more than enough to keep the ship afloat.

Next. Awaiting the Draymond Green explosion. dark

While it is obvious that the team isn’t on the same level as they used to be, the Dubs are still more talented than ever. Managing this many stars is difficult but the Warriors appear to be doing a phenomenal job.
