The Golden State Warriors have managed to maintain relatively calm and collected in recent years. Now, they appear to be showing signs of frustration.

The last four seasons have been blissful for the Golden State Warriors and their fans. Each year the team grew stronger and stronger as they constantly found themselves competing for and winning NBA championships. However, things have taken a strange turn this season.

See, up until this season, the Warriors have displayed an otherworldly type of dominance in the regular season. The Dubs won 67 games in 2015, an NBA record 73 games in 2016 and then again won 67 games in the 2017 season. For all of these years, the Warriors went virtually uncontested throughout the regular season.

Last year we began to see the first indications of a drop-off. The Warriors won only 58 games, making it the first time in over four years since they won fewer than 60 games. Still, the Dubs went on to dominate in the playoffs and win their second straight title.

This season we are seeing the Dubs play at the lowest level they have since they began their reign. With a 68 win percentage, Golden State is on pace to win the fewest games in a regular season since 2014.

With this drop in regular season dominance, we have also seen some visible frustration. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both displayed their emotions in a loss against the San Antonio Spurs in which they shot a combined 10-for-27 from the 3-point line.

In total, the Warriors have gone 6-7 in their last 13 games, making it one of their worst stretches in recent franchise history. This is likely due to the awkwardness of having DeMarcus Cousins make his debut to the team. However, it is strange to see how annoyed the entire Warriors roster is becoming.

Next. Is DeMarcus Cousins fitting in with the team?. dark

The Warriors are still the top seed in the Western Conference, but it isn’t very often that we see them lose this many games. This hopefully won’t be a problem when the playoffs start, but it is important that the team resolves it’s issues sooner rather than later.
