Durant’s decision

Could Durant’s decision haunt him this postseason? Could selfishness get in the way of the Dubs unprecedented fifth straight Finals? While it’d be tough to confirm that, we could see it in Durant’s play.

Durant has been dominant this season, putting together one of his most complete seasons in the NBA. However, at the same time, it’s been a season full of chaos as he’s had some intriguing highs and lows.

The altercation with Draymond Green which was followed by the Warriors losing five of six games a few weeks later was certainly a low point for Durant. He’s also shaken off the criticism and became one of the few players to drop over 50 points in a game this season.

The Warriors will need a Durant fully focused on getting the job done. Arguably the NBA’s most valuable free agent, Durant will certainly be thinking ahead and that could alter how he plays this postseason.

Logically that makes sense and Durant will have to find a way to avoid thinking about what the future holds.
