Lack of depth

The Golden State Warriors have one of the league’s least-productive benches. In the postseason, they may not need one. In spurts, they’ll use a few of the players, and if they can’t perform, it’ll hurt their chances in just about every game.

Alfonzo McKinnie, Jonas Jerebko, Quinn Cook, Andre Iguodala and many more line the Warriors second unit. A bench that continues to be harped on for not doing much could prove either vital or fatal this postseason.

The most crucial piece of the bench will be Andre Iguodala. As aforementioned, the death lineup is one of the Dubs most dynamic five-man lineups and will likely be used by Kerr often in the postseason.

Aside from Iguodala, who do the Warriors need to step up? Looney, who will come in for Cousins at times, will contribute to the team’s overall success. Whether or not players like Quinn Cook can heat up will also factor into how much time on the bench the Dubs can buy their starters.

Year after year, the Warriors bench is described as one of the worst in the league. Could this finally be the postseason where they display a true need to enhance their second unit?
