Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are once again having phenomenal seasons and yet no one is talking about it.

The Golden State Warriors have been in the spotlight for so long that their accomplishments are beginning to lose their luster. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are two great examples of this as they are receiving very little attention for their superb seasons.

Of course, Steph and KD are no strangers to having great seasons. Curry is a two-time MVP winner while Durant won the award back in 2014 and has since won two Finals MVP’s. These two superstars are both universally recognized as some of the worlds best talent but how come they haven’t been receiving the same level of attention recently?

On the season, Curry is averaging 27.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He is on the verge of multiple career-highs for 3-point shooting, nailing 43.0 percent of his attempts this season. Curry has surpassed 300 total 3-pointers in a single season for the third time in his career and might have challenged his NBA record of 403 total 3-pointers had he remained healthy all season.

Meanwhile, Durant has been torching teams all year long. Durant is putting up 26.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. He is still the lethal scorer we all know and love while also displaying a much better understanding of the game with his passing and playmaking.

Despite this, Durant and Curry garner very little attention in MVP talks. The Warriors are the best team in the Western Conference but because of their sheer abundance of talent, the team will never get any individual accolades.

Luckily, these individual awards are not important to anyone on the roster. Durant knew this would happen if he joined the Dubs but he made the decision anyway. This is because everyone on the Warriors is more concerned with winning championships.

Next. Would the Warriors benefit from a new playoff format?. dark

So, even though KD and Curry won’t get the respect they deserve, we can still appreciate their greatness. The postseason will be when these two stars get their rightful attention.
