The Golden State Warriors will get their choice of select Elite Eight stars to choose from in the 2019 NBA Draft.

For the second consecutive season, the Golden State Warriors will have a first-round pick. They will likely have the No. 28 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, a draft that could end up being extremely deep.

The Warriors don’t have many holes to fill on their superstar-filled team. That said, the team that’s been to four straight NBA Finals will be aiming to select the best player available at their draft position.

For players, the time to increase their draft stock is the NCAA Tournament. Many of the stars on teams that have soared to the Final Four have been dominant, leading their team with both grit and passion.

At the same time, many of these stars are experienced, collegiate players. Those are the type of players that Golden State has traditionally aimed for in the draft over the past few seasons.

While that strategy may not continue due to the lack of contribution from players like Jacob Evans III and Jordan Bell, it certainly could given the deep pool of players, many of which won’t guarantee a star for Golden State.

That said, with just four teams remaining, let’s take a look at players that helped raise their draft stock during the Elite Eight. Surprisingly, all of our candidates came from teams no longer in the tournament.
