11. 2016 Western Conference Semifinals: Stephen Curry explodes in overtime

Stephen Curry was in the midst of perhaps the greatest individual offensive season in NBA history. The reigning MVP had stepped up his game in nearly every way. Averaging a career-high 30.1 points per game, Steph led the Dubs to an NBA record 73 wins in the regular season and became the first ever unanimous MVP.

By the time the playoffs began, Curry had already drilled over 400 3-pointers and was the greatest heat check player the league had ever witnessed. Curry could snap and go on a scoring run at any minute.

What occurred in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals was just another example of Curry’s insane talent.

This game would be Curry’s debut to the series as he missed the previous three games due to a knee injury. With the Dubs fresh off of a 12 point loss, the Trail Blazers fought to push Game 4 into an overtime period. With a chance at having the series fall to 2-2, Steph was ready to put the league on notice that he was back.

Curry exploded in the overtime period, scoring an NBA record 17 points on a nearly perfect 6-for-7 shooting from the field. Steph nailed three 3-pointers in this overtime and made sure to let the entire crowd know that he was feeling himself.

The two-time MVP finished the game with 40 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The Warriors won Game 4 and went on to finish the series in the next game.
