For those who may not know, the Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the OKC Blue 117-102 to cruise to the Western Conference Finals.

Tonight, the Santa Cruz Warriors will play the Rio Grande Vipers in the Western Conference Finals,  and on today’s edition of TimeOut, I am going to reveal two fun facts from last Friday’s victory as fans get set for tonight’s matchup.

The Warriors, at halftime, led by twenty-seven points

According to Santa Cruz Warriors PR, this was the largest lead going into halftime in postseason history for the Sea Dubs.

For Sea Dubs fans, this may not be as shocking knowing Kendrick Nunn is coming off the bench for the Dubs. Kendrick Nunn has been a consistent scorer for the Santa Cruz Warriors this season and Friday’s game proved one thing: Kendrick Nunn deserves to be on an NBA roster next season.

Last Friday, Nunn led all scorers with thirty-one points off the bench on 12-of-16 shooting. He also nailed five three-pointers to go with three rebounds and one assist and steal.

Damian Lee and Jacob Evans also helped on the offensive end, contributing sixteen points apiece with Evans making six of his twelve field goals while Lee made five of his eleven field goals.

For Golden State Warriors fans who may be concerned about the Warriors rookie, there is no need to worry at all. Evans’s stats from last Friday’s victory were quite impressive. Besides scoring sixteen points, he made two threes, rebounded the ball eight times, had six assists, and contributed one steal and two blocks.

He has been a very good asset for the Sea Dubs while being on assignment, and I believe with time, Golden State Warriors fans are going to see this type of efficiency from Evans in a Golden State uniform.

Efficiency from all over the floor

Overall, the Santa Warriors did a good job scoring throughout the floor.

At halftime, the Warriors was 55.1% from the field, making 27 of their 49 shots. From Curry range, the Warriors made thirteen threes off twenty-two attempts, which was 59.1%. From the free throw line, they were 90.9% making ten-of-eleven free throws.

At the end of regulation, the Sea Dubs shot 46% from the floor, making forty-three of their ninety-three shots. From three-point land, the Warriors made sixteen threes. Santa Cruz actually started off pretty hot from three, shooting 56% from three during the second quarter of Friday’s game.
