The Golden State Warriors will have a first and second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. That said, who should they be targeting to preserve the dynasty?

In the near future, the Golden State Warriors will have to do two things. They’ll have to draft and develop the next Warrior superstar, and they’ll need to start drafting players that will truly contribute to their bench.

Right now, the Warriors have one of the league’s worst benches. The Dubs last few draft picks,  Jacob Evans III, Jordan Bell, Kevon Looney and others haven’t quite lived up to the hype. They haven’t been what Golden State had hoped for.

With Kevin Durant potentially leaving this offseason, the Warriors will need to find a way to fill his void. While completely filling the void is almost impossible, drafting a high-risk player in the first round could produce the energy needed to replace the four-time scoring champ.

Going into June, the Warriors will hopefully still be competing for an NBA Championship. However, shortly after, they’ll need to prepare for the draft. Right now, the team is projected to have the No. 28 and No. 58 picks.

Those obviously aren’t ideal positions to find the next superstar talent. That means the Warriors’ scouting department will have to really dig into these prospects and find which one perfectly fits the team’s mold.

That said, let’s dive into who the Warriors should take with their two draft picks.
