Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry has been playing with blurry vision
By Tony Pesta
In a shocking revelation, it seems that the Golden State Warriors superstar, Stephen Curry, may have been playing with blurred vision his whole career.
Stephen Curry is without a doubt one of the league’s best shooters of all-time. In all honesty, he should be considered the greatest shooter to ever live. His 3-point shooting has elevated the Golden State Warriors to NBA royalty. But, has he been doing all of this with some blurry vision the entire time?
Curry recently credited his new contact lenses as a reason for his increased 3-point percentage. Prior to getting his contacts, Curry was in the midst of a 12-game stretch in which he was shooting just 36.5 percent from the 3-point line. Since he got his contacts on March 16, Curry is knocking down 48.7 percent of his attempts from deep.
Steph told the Athletic that “It’s like the whole world opened up” when describing the impact of his new contacts. Curry claims that he has been struggling with blurry vision for most of his life and simply learned to adjust to it.
Curry, the man who has broken numerous 3-point records multiple times, is claiming that he has been doing this with his vision blurred. If this is true, it is an insane side note to an already legendary career.
This, of course, had a huge reaction on NBA Twitter. Fans everywhere began making memes of this Curry news. This new fact is so unbelievable that fans don’t know how to react.
However, everyone should settle down a little bit. It is unlikely that Curry was playing with severe eyesight problems or else he would have found contacts a long time ago. Curry even stated himself that his vision never stopped him from being able to play basketball and the evidence speaks for itself.
Still, this is a very interesting tidbit to add on to the growing legend that is Stephen Curry.
