Houston Rockets

A familiar foe is still the top threat for Golden State.

The Houston Rockets take the cake as the No. 1 team to watch out for this postseason. If the Dubs are lucky, they won’t even have to play Houston as the Rockets will likely draw Denver in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.

However, against the Dubs, the Rockets have had all the answers. During the regular season, they’ve won three of the four matchups, including a beatdown of Golden State at Oracle without James Harden.

Having one of the best seasons in recent history, Harden was the league’s scoring champion last year, averaging over 30 points per game. This season he’s taken over the NBA, averaging over 36 points per game, an insane average. Tack on 6.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists, and Harden is a top threat for MVP.

At the same time, the Rockets are not a one-man show. With Chris Paul, whose health was paramount to the Dubs taking down Houston last season, the Rockets have not one but two ball-dominant stars.

Then, add on sharpshooter Eric Gordon and a gritty, Kevin Durant-stopping forward in PJ Tucker. Clint Capela also has played a large role in the Rockets success as has Gerald Green.
