109 fellow NBA players, who recently helped complete a poll, believe Kevin Durant will play for the New York Knicks next season.

While he’s given no indication of leaving the Golden State Warriors, All-Star Kevin Durant has every right to utilize the perks given to NBA free agents.

He could go wherever he wants this offseason, and a recent poll taken by The Athletic (subscription required), has the majority of players believing he’ll head to the New York Knicks. The Knicks have the cap space for two max free agents, potentially allowing New York to add a Kyrie Irving-esque player as well.

69 of 109 voters (63.3%) said they believe Kevin Durant will head to New York. Just over 20% voted on Durant re-signing in the Bay. Teams like the OKC Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers also received some, while marginal, consideration.

Durant is in his third season with the Warriors. Already securing two rings, three-peating in the Bay may make it a lock for the former MVP to return. However, if the Dubs come up short, they may also see their star leave. That’s the thought process taken by many Warrior faithful.

At the same time, Durant may already have his decision made.

He could even opt to do something many would deem wild and take his talents to his hometown Washington D.C., where he was rumored to consider going before signing with Golden State in 2016.

Durant’s dominance could land him a spot on legitimately any team. Teams would move their pieces around to acquire the dominant forward.

This past season, Durant has taken his game to a new level and became arguably the league’s best player. Scoring 26.1 points per game and dishing out a career-high 5.9 assists per game, Durant has shown that he’s more than a scorer.

Now in his 11th season, Durant has continued to evolve his game. He’s also become a much more formidable defender over the last few seasons as well. Durant is at and will be at the top of his game for the next several seasons.

Will Durant leave? Who knows, but it’s definitely telling to know NBA player’s think he will.
