The 2018-19 NBA season has come to an end for the Golden State Warriors. Let’s reflect on what has been an interesting season.

This year was another great one for the Golden State Warriors. The past five years have been paradise for Warriors fans as the team continues to get better each season. The 2018-19 NBA regular season was certainly an interesting one.

With the signing of DeMarcus Cousins, the Warriors were instantly crowned this season’s champions by many fans. However, everyone would found out soon that basketball is never that simple. The Dubs would be attempting to put together the most talented team in NBA history.

Luckily, the Dubs had already put in place a great system. Led by the unselfishness of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the Dubs have managed to bring in superstar players such as Kevin Durant and Cousins. Without the attitudes of these core players, this roster would never work together on the court.

As we would see, the Warriors experienced their fair share of growing pains. A few injuries to Green and Curry didn’t make the road any easier while the team waited nearly half the season for Cousins to finally make his debut.

When the Warriors finally played on the court at full strength it quickly became obvious how talented this team was. In a blink of an eye, the Warriors were able to flip the switch and turn into the best basketball team in the world. The only unfortunate part is that we weren’t able to see them play with much energy for most of the season.

This is for good reason. The Dubs are focused on winning a third consecutive championship and they aren’t wasting any energy on useless regular season games. This is why I believe the Dubs will look like a far better team in the playoffs than they did in the regular season.

Now that the playoffs are set to begin, watch out for the Warriors to play full throttle and dismantle opponents. The regular season was just a glimpse of what is to come for this team.
