The Golden State Warriors were graced with the Klay Thompson game in their second outing in LA. It was all thanks to a refreshing dip in the ocean too.

For Klay Thompson, all it took was a quick dip in the Pacific Ocean to get him on the right track. The Golden State Warriors star shooting claimed that as the reason for his high-level play in Game 4.

Thompson tallied the game’s second-highest scoring total at 32. He was only beat out by teammate Kevin Durant who posted 33 points on 21 shots. While Durant kept up with Thompson, this will ultimately go down as the Klay Thompson game.

It seems that about once a series fans are graced with a Klay Thompson game. Last season, it was the 35-point eruption in Game 6 of the Western Conference, a showing that helped take the series to a Game 7 in which Golden State would end up coming out on top.

With 32 points on 6-for-9 from deep including unconscious stretches of play where the Clippers had no chance but to watch Thompson cash in from deep, the Warriors easily took Game 4 behind his excellent play.

Thompson gave Anthony Slater the reason for such a stellar performance following the game.

For Thompson, his performance was one to remember but so was his postgame interview where he bragged on the team’s “Strength In Numbers,” but forgot to flip his towel right-side up. Grinning the entire time, it was clear Thompson felt refreshed and re-energized after his terrific Game 4.

Moving forward, this will be the type of Thompson the Warriors need to make the next few rounds a cakewalk. Given how the Rockets, who are up 3-0 against the Jazz, may play him in the second round, it’s ideal for Thompson to start being aggressive and getting shots in rhythm now.

One of the team’s most influential talents, Thompson needs to be uber-aggressive as the Dubs will soon prepare for what will likely be the postseason’s greatest challenge: The Houston Rockets.
