Kevin Durant has been the most hated player in the league since joining the Golden State Warriors. Now, he is steadily saving his reputation.

It’s no secret that a large majority of NBA fans were angered by Kevin Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors. To be completely honest, I was upset myself. As a pure fan of the league, I want to watch the best players compete against each other on a nightly basis, not team up with one another.

However, at a certain point, it becomes difficult to not appreciate everything that Durant is doing. In his most recent performance, Durant dropped 50 points in Game 6 versus the Los Angeles Clippers to avoid a decisive Game 7.

This showing from Durant reminded everyone how special he truly is. Even Patrick Beverley, an opponent who relentlessly attempted to frustrate Durant, was in awe of his scoring ability after the game.

As a result, I think we should all be more like Beverley. Well, at least the people who were critical of Durant’s move in the first place. Sure, his decision to join the Dubs can still be viewed as weak, but there is no denying his greatness.

Durant has been steadily proving himself more and more. His first two championships did wonders for his career, but many fans remain unimpressed by his accomplishments. This postseason he has finally begun to change the minds of a few fans.

This is mainly because of the fact that the Warriors are actually experiencing quite a bit of adversity. With Klay Thompson and Draymond Green playing inconsistently, plus a devastating injury to DeMarcus Cousins, Durant is once again looking like a hero.

dark. Next. Warriors bench has been utterly outplayed

In my eyes, Durant is cleansing his past and removing any doubt that the Warriors need him. He has become crucial to their success and his continued dominance is saving his reputation.
