3. Philadelphia 76ers

With all of the remaining Western Conference team’s already listed, this means were are going to be looking deep at the Eastern Conference. In shocking fashion, the East is actually filled with more talent than the West. Let’s start off by looking at the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers are perhaps the most interesting team on this list. This is because of the fact that they arguably have the most loaded roster of any team in the league outside of the Golden State Warriors. A generational talent at the center position in Joel Embiid and an All-Star point guard in Ben Simmons is already a stacked lineup. Throw in the scoring ability of Tobias Harris and the two-way play of Jimmy Butler and you are looking at a scary team.

Despite this, the 76ers aren’t being taken seriously by many people. I’m not exactly sure why this is. Maybe it is due to the health factors of Embiid who is constantly missing games. Or perhaps it has something to do with Simmons being a non-factor on offense in certain scenarios because of his lack of a jump shot.

In the end, I think it comes down to this team simply not being consistent or experienced enough yet. We have already seen the highs-and-lows of both Simmons and Embiid. It is difficult to tell if the 76ers are going to get a historically good or bad performance from either one of these players on any given night.

As a result, the Warriors should be the heavy favorites in this potential series. But, this doesn’t mean they won’t have their hands full with the Sixers immense amount of talent.
