5. Game 4 versus Portland Trail Blazers (2016 Second Round)

If the 2014-15 season was the start of Stephen Curry’s dominance, the 2015-16 season was the peak of his powers.

There’s not much left to be said about Curry’s historic regular season. To put it simply, he was one of the most unstoppable offensive players the game had ever seen. Putting up an unheard of 30.1 points per game on 50/40/90 shooting, Curry walked away with the first ever unanimous MVP award.

Heading into the Second Round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors were playing without their leader. This is because Curry had fallen with a freak leg injury that occurred in Round One versus the Houston Rockets.

When Curry finally made his return to the court in Game 4, he was sure to make a grand entrance. As the Blazers and Warriors ended regulation in a tie, Curry was sitting with a solid 23 points. The show he was preparing to put on in the overtime period was going to be one for the record books.

In all-too-familiar fashion, Curry erupted for an NBA record 17 points in the overtime. He drilled three 3-pointers and only missed one attempt from the field as the Warriors coasted to an OT victory. As he knocked in the final dagger shot, Curry made sure to let the crowd know he is back.
