1. Game 5 versus Cleveland Cavaliers (2015 NBA Finals)

The 2015 NBA Finals will go down as the most underrated series of Stephen Curry’s career. Due to a poor Game 2 performance and the sheer hype behind Matthew Dellavadova’s inspiring coming out party, Curry will never get the recognition he deserves for this series.

Let’s give this six-game series some context. The Golden State Warriors finished the 2014-15 season with a 67-15 record, giving them the best record in the league. Led by Curry’s first MVP run, the Dubs pushed 13themselves all the way to their first NBA Finals berth since 1975.

The road to winning their first title in nearly 50 years would not be easy. Standing in there way was LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers who were on a similar mission to end their title drought. James was a monster through the first three games, averaging 41.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game en route to giving the Cavs an unlikely 2-1 series lead.

After a dominant team performance from the Warriors led to a 21 point Game 4 victory, the pressure was on in Game 5. The weight of a Game 5 in a series that is tied can not go understated. Curry understood this and was prepping for his best game of the 2015 playoffs.

Steph showed out big time in Game 5. Knocking down big shot after big shot, Curry finished with 37 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His dazzling array of dribble moves left Cleveland speechless as it felt like they could do nothing to slow him down. He finished the game 7-of-13 from deep and 13-for-23 from the field overall.
