The Golden State Warriors may lose Kevin Durant this offseason. That said, who will be on the open market that may replace a fraction of his production?

Regardless of if they 2019 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors may be at a high risk of losing four-time scoring champion and former league MVP Kevin Durant. Durant’s rumored to have ties to New York and Los Angeles.

His destination is unknown. His current state, according to his camp, is still 100% undecided. That said, we really don’t know much about what the future holds for Kevin Durant, but we do know that their is a good chance he heads elsewhere.

The Warriors have embraced him, but they’ve always shown an ability to win without him. They took down the Raptors on the road in the NBA Finals without him. They beat the Houston Rockets in their only full game without him. They swept the Blazers without him.

It’s ridiculous to think that the Warriors are better off without Durant. However, it’s not insane to think they’re still the best team in the league even if they do end up losing one of their core leaders.

Averaging over 34 points per game, Durant was dominant prior to mildly straining his right calf. Now, his career in the Bay Area may be all but over. He’s expected to but could end up not returning during the NBA Finals.

If Durant does up departing this offseason, what will Golden State do with the extra money after maxing Klay Thompson? Here are six legitimate, low-cost options that they should explore.
