Rodney Hood
One of the main offensive threats in the postseason, Rodney Hood put on a show on the brightest stage. While his Blazers were still swept by the Warriors, Hood almost willed his team to victory down the stretch a few times.
Hood hasn’t been a consistent threat since his time with the Utah Jazz. During both the regular season and for part of last season in Cleveland, Hood was inconsistent and lacked confidence which was on display in his play.
However, he was a different force against the Warriors. In both the Denver and Golden State series, Hood thrived. He scored 13 points per game on over 51% from the floor and 41% from downtown.
Overall, Hood shouldn’t be the first open in free agency for Golden State. Players like Chandler fit the mold of a solid, two-way forward which is what they’ll be trying to replace if Durant is to leave. Nonetheless, Hood would still be a welcome addition.
Being able to score anywhere on the court while being a tall 6-foot-8 with a lengthy 6-foot-9 wingspan bodes well for him. He’ll get a nice-sized contract somewhere, and Golden State could certainly be an ideal destination.
