For the first time in five years, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in uncharted territory.

The Golden State Warriors now enter their biggest offseason in team history.

The Warriors have ten faces set to hit free agency this offseason including perennial All-Stars Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins.

Although it seems a foregone conclusion that Cousins will leave for pastures new, Coach Steve Kerr addressed Cousins’ future in an interview with NBC Sports. “I could absolutely foresee a place for DeMarcus here if he wanted to come back,” Kerr added. ”It’s just a question of what are his goals, what is out there for him.”

The fates of Durant and Thompson are far from certain, however.

"It is heavily rumoured that Thompson is a lock to stay with the Warriors, as his father Mychal has recently been quoted to have said “no question” when asked whether his son will be a Warrior next season. Nonetheless, Durant’s situation is far more clouded with endless links connecting the former MVP to the Knicks have been endless but Durant insisted he hadn’t made up his mind."

Injuries to both players have changed the complexion and dynamic of the NBA offseason. Both players have reportedly been in high demand Coast to Coast and despite the injuries, little seems to have changed on that front.

"Dubs co-owner Joe Lacob has repeatedly stated he wants to “keep the band together” but could that lead to the Warriors demise?"
