4. New York Knicks

Despite not having a winning record in the last six seasons and having zero NBA Finals appearances this decade, the New York Knicks remain in free agency discussions for superstar caliber players. Maybe the city is too intriguing to ignore or perhaps it is just media fabricated hype, but the Knicks always seem to be in the conversation for free agency.

Right now, the Knicks don’t have much talent on the roster. Dennis Smith Jr. is their most promising prospect while Kevin Knox and Frank Nitlikina haven’t shown much worth. However, with the third overall pick in this year’s upcoming draft, the Knicks have a great chance of landing a franchise cornerstone.

Now combine this with the potential to sign 1-2 superstars and Klay Thompson could definitely be on his way to New York. There would be nothing more exciting for Klay than to contribute to a winning team in New York with their fans rallying behind him.

If Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving or even his current teammate, Kevin Durant, joins the Knicks then we could see Klay follow suit. This would be the start of a new super team and Klay would once again be a key member.
