The Golden State Warriors have two draft picks in the 2019 NBA Draft, No. 28 and No. 58. That said, let’s rank the Dubs top first-round prospects.

Over the last few years, the Golden State Warriors have given us a roadmap of what they desire in the NBA Draft. However, while their roster may continue to thin in the frontcourt, their backcourt may finally be an area of interest as well.

In the 2019 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors went from confident champions to dethroned and likely limping into next season. Klay Thompson tore his ACL and Kevin Durant ruptured his Achilles. Both are expected to be offered a five-year max from Golden State.

Those injuries will change the way they view this draft and could shift who they pursue. Having three max contract along with both Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala making over $17 million means snagging additional picks to fill out the roster may be an ideal move.

Don’t be shocked by a draft day trade for Golden State. However, their first-round pick most likely won’t be dealt. Without much opportunity or desire to move up, the Warriors should have a plethora of targets with their late first round pick.

That said, let’s dive into who the Dubs should consider their top-five prospects at No. 28.
