Ty Jerome

Next is NCAA Champion Ty Jerome.

One of Virginia’s elite guards, Jerome is a high-IQ, 6-foot-5 combo guard. He has a much-lower ceiling than Porter Jr., but he also has arguably a much-higher floor, already a polished collegiate player.

Jerome is as complete of a guard as you’ll get the collegiate level. He averaged over 13 points, four assists and four rebounds his junior season. Now, heading to the draft after two excellent seasons as a starter at one of the top programs in the country, Jerome is expected to be a late first-round pick.

Here’s an important excerpt on Jerome from NBC Sports’ mock draft.

"More importantly, he’s excellent at running off of screens and knocking down jumpers. He can be everything that Landry Shamet was for the 76ers before getting traded."

The Warriors need a Landry Shamet-type contribution from the No. 28 pick. Jerome, a player that should be high on the Warriors big board, is that player. A 40% three-point shooter his final year, Jerome has all the attributes in his arsenal that Golden State craves.
