Matisse Thybulle

The No. 1 player on the Golden State Warriors draft board should be Matisse Thybulle, a 6-foot-5 foot senior from the University of Washington.

One of the best defenders in the draft, Thybulle wasn’t as explosive offensively as team’s would’ve hoped for during his senior year, but he did put some of NCAA’s most impressive numbers on the defensive end.

That being said, Thybulle secured 3.5 steals and rejected 2.3 blocks pre game. Playing just over 31 minutes per game, Thybulle made his presence known defensively, and Golden State, after last year’s selection of Jacob Evans III, clearly find stock in a highly-active defender.

On the offensively end, Thybulle was less than average. He scored just 9.1 points per game, down a bit from his 11.2 average the season before. A capable three-point shooter, Thybulle has both a high ceiling and high floor.
