6. Denver Nuggets

Much like the Indiana Pacers, the Denver Nuggets feel they are only one or two moves away from competing for an NBA championship. After a heart-breaking Game 7 loss in the NBA Playoffs, Denver is hungry to take the next step in their process.

Of course, they could wait a few years for their young core to develop and compete. Or, they could speed up the process by trading for a superstar such as Kevin Durant.

Here, the Nuggets give up a big chunk of their young core by shipping away Jamal Murray, Garry Harris and Will Barton. These three players have shown to have high potential with Murray being a borderline All-Star last season. This would hurt the Nuggets overall depth, but gaining someone as talented as Durant is more than worth it.

As for the Warriors, they gain a ton of depth here. Murray would be an incredible back up or even a replacement for Klay Thompson if he leaves in free agency. Meanwhile, Harris and Barton are trustworthy enough to be in any lineup the Dubs choose to run.
