5. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers have been swept in the NBA Playoffs in three consecutive seasons. Two by the hands of the Golden State Warriors and one by the New Orleans Pelicans, it’s obvious the Blazers need to shake things up.

C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard have quickly become one of the greatest backcourt duos we have ever seen. The shot-making ability and offensive versatility of these two stars is enough to give any defense problems. Sadly, it might be time for them to part ways in favor of a greater good for Portland.

McCollum for Durant is a no brainer for the Blazers. Throw in Zach Collins and two First Round picks to make it possible and the Blazers would leave this trade more than happy. Durant is capable of taking this team to the Finals and his consistent scoring would help take the pressure off of Lillard.

For the Warriors, this is another trade in which they gain a bit of depth. McCollum would be the best sixth man in the league (unless Klay Thompson leaves, making C.J. a starter). Then, the two draft picks they acquire in this trade would allow the Dubs to continue building through the draft and setting the stage for their next generation.
