4. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have to do something this offseason. They’re in playoff purgatory, and that isn’t looking to change anytime soon. Although they made a big-time trade to snag Jarrett Culver in the NBA Draft, they need more.

For the Golden State Warriors, they need to supplement Durant’s production. That’s what it’s all about. They’re in a lose-lose situation this upcoming season. They sign KD, they lose. They trade him they lose. That said, here’s what a trade with the Wolves may look like.

Three first-round picks and Andrew Wiggins is the deal, and there’s a bunch of reasons why both sides may do this deal. For Golden State, you replace Durant’s production. Although Wiggins shot 34% from downtown last season, he can improve.

Not many players benefit more efficiency-wise than when they join the Dubs. He’d be a solid addition and the Dubs can finally find their future. With a 2020 first-round pick, they’ll be seeing at least a lottery selection. We all know how lottery selections go for Golden State.

For Minnesota, it’s Kevin Durant. That’s all you need. He’d re-join the team with Karl-Anthony Towns in his prime in 2020. This would be a duo that could take the Wolves to the next level.
