2. Boston Celtics

Everything is crumbling for the Boston Celtics. Their culture has always been win now. They passed on Anthony Davis, and it’s time they get back in a place where they can contend. It’ll come at a high cost though.

Golden State, per usual, is in win-now mode as well. The difference is Golden State’s is imminent, Boston’s isn’t. That being said, here’s the proposal, one the Boston Celtics would likely have a hard time agreeing to.

The Warriors would get Durant and they’d get a year to recover from the 2019 offseason. It’s expected that Horford and Irving both leave. They could clear max money for the 2020 offseason and be returning a fully healthy Kevin Durant. Whoever you surround KD with doesn’t matter. You already have a championship-level team.

For Golden State, you replace Durant’s production and you even get a bit more. Hayward and Tatum would bolster the small forward position while Robert Williams helps fill the gap lost by Jones and Looney.

This seems like a win-win.
