Golden State Warriors: “Buy or Sell” with 10 potential NBA Free Agents
By Tony Pesta
3. Derrick Rose (Buy)
The youngest MVP in league history, Derrick Rose, has had such an inspiring NBA career. Emerging as one of the most explosive point guards the league has ever seen, his ACL injury in the 2012 playoffs marked the first heartbreak for many young NBA fans.
After years and years of failed experiments on various different teams, Rose finally rose up from the ashes and became a valuable player once again. Embracing a new role on the bench, Rose became a candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year Award.
The season was highlighted by his tear-jerking 50-point performance that marked the former MVP’s career high in scoring. Still, his entire season was a productive one and he has shown he is ready to compete at the highest level.
If the Golden State Warriors managed to acquire Rose, they would have one of the best back up point guards in the league to help give Stephen Curry a rest. They could even attempt running both Curry and Rose in certain lineups while Klay Thompson recovers from his injury. This signing is a win for the Dubs if they can do it.
