Denver

Bol is now in as great a situation as he could have possibly asked for. The Denver Nuggets are the reigning Western Conference second seeds – a 54-win team due to losing exactly no major pieces in free agency, with Michael Porter Jr. due back soon no less, and it just acquired on a ticked off, a motivated unicorn in the making.

They also have one of the league’s premier big men in Nikola Jokic, meaning that there is no immediate demand for Bol to be implemented into any playing situations that his body is not ready for.

Time is money for the young man, and time is something that he could have definitely been offered in San Francisco had Myers called his phone instead.

The Warriors are not going to be pushing for a 60-win season in their first year at the Chase Center. It is the first campaign under the Steve Kerr regime since their first championship that it is not a title-or-bust level of expectation, and as such it would have been a perfect place for Bol to walk into, get healthy, and develop as part of a successful culture.
