Jeremy Lamb

From here are on out, we’ll be talking about players with a legitimate chance at being Warriors next season. While the top eight do stand some chance, it’s minute compared to these last 17 players. The first of these realistic options is Hornets’ free agent forward Jeremy Lamb.

More from Blue Man Hoop

Lamb ended his 3-year, $21 million contract this past season. Now on the open market, Lamb, who averaged 15.3 points per game last season, may be able to find an eight-figure contract, but for a contender, it’s just not happening.

He’s a target for Golden State’s mid-level exception which should be just over $5 million. Lamb is just 6-foot-5 yet played the majority of his minutes at the three. That said, he’s a solid shooter, hitting 1.5 threes per game.

At just 27, Lamb’s game is yet from a finished product. He has more dimensions to get to, and this past season, he was able to take his game to a new level. There’s a next level, and it’s in Golden State where he can get there.

The Dubs have an unmatched developmental coaching staff that could help Lamb. This would be a solid match and a good signing for Golden State.
