Quinn Cook
The Golden State Warriors are at risk of losing players that they’ve brought through their system and given a chance to shine on the national stage. Quinn Cook, much like Kevon Looney, is one of them.
After multiple stints in the D-League, now G-League, Cook finally signed a two-year contract with the then defending champs. Since then, he’s proven to be one of just a few productive players in the Warriors bench.
While not single-handedly, Cook was a major factor in one of the team’s two NBA Finals victories, hitting three triples all at pivotal moments in the game. Down to just under seven points from a career-high 9.5 a season ago, many might view Cook as less productive.
However, Cook averaged over 17 points per 36 minutes and hit over 40% of his threes. In 74 games, 10 starts, Cook proved himself. He’ll get a few low-value offers elsewhere, and Golden State must somehow convince him to be a minimum-contract player.
That won’t be easy.
