Marcus Morris

There aren’t many extremely solid role players in the league, but Celtics forward Marcus Morris is one of them. He does things that please coaches on both the offensive and defensive end of the court.

This past season, Morris averaged 13.9 points per game on a career-high 44.7% from the field. If you include his 1.9 threes on 37.5% from deep, it’s obvious that his services would be of great use for the Warriors who have a three-point-centric offense.

Morris is also a terrific defender. His defensive prowess doesn’t always show on the box score, but he’s oftentimes tasked with the difficult responsibility of guarding the NBA’s best forwards like Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James.

Following the 2014-2015 season, Morris signed a four-year, $20 million contract. Now, he’ll either be in the market for a team’s MLE or just a borderline eight-figure contract. Morris will be a top free agent for teams seeking forwards in 2019.
