4. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets are one of the brightest young teams in the league. After hitting all the marks on their 2018-19 NBA season, the Nets have proven they are only a few moves away from being serious contenders.

This is largely due to the blossoming of All-Star point guard, D’Angelo Russell. Last season, Russell finally became the star he was projected to be by averaging 21.1 points and 7.0 assists per game. His ability to create plays through the pick and roll made him a dual threat and helped lead the Nets to the playoffs.

Russell also received quite a bit of help from his teammates. Joe Harris emerged as an elite 3-point shooter while players such as Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen turned into reliable assets.

Overall, the Nets are on the rise. One more year of growth while Kevin Durant nurtures his Achilles could see this team reach new levels. Not to mention the high likelihood that Kyrie Irving will be joining the Nets soon as well.
