1. Los Angeles Clippers

Coming in at number one on our list is the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite never being a prime destination for star free agents, the Clippers are slowly changing their culture and have become front runners to sign both Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard.

Of course, there is no telling if they can sign both at the same time, but it is likely they manage to capture at least one of these superstars. Could Durant be the one to make the jump to LAC?

Well, they certainly helped their case in the 2019 NBA Playoffs when they stole two games from the Warriors in Round One. Behind gritty defense and all-around team excellence, the Clippers impressed everyone and most importantly, Durant himself.

The Clippers have all of the intangibles. All they need now is the talent. Signing Durant would put them over the top in terms of talent and make them a legit title competitor. If Durant leaves the Warriors, I’d bet he joins the Clippers.
