The Golden State Warriors need help in free agency. That being said, let’s take a brief look at their top-30 unrestricted free agent targets.

The most exciting six days in the NBA stratosphere has officially begun: free agency. In those six days, the Golden State Warriors are expected to be highly active, seeking to both sign free agents and re-sign their main contributors.

For the Warriors, the main free agents that they’re at risk of losing are Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Kevon Looney, DeMarcus Cousins, Jonas Jerebko, and Quinn Cook. While others like Marcus Derrickson could leave if any other team is interested.

Aside from their own stars, the Warriors should have an interest in a handful of others, especially considering the different ways this offseason could play out. They must be ready to fill the gap of Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson.

While at least Thompson is highly expected to stay, the Warriors will almost certainly lose one of the trio of Thompson, Durant, and Cousins. That’s fine if it’s Cousins. But, if the Nets get Durant and Knicks get Cousins, the Warriors will need to secure some firepower in free agency.

Working with limited cap space, the Warriors won’t be able to offer more than some of the teams in a rebuilding year. That said, they need to be smart with who they sign and for how much because it could ultimately impact their five-straight Finals streak.

Considering those and the likelihood they sign, we took a dive at who should be on the Warriors free agency big board. This will be continually updated as players contracts start to become announced. Also, many of these rankings were dependent on Durant’s decision.
