Terrence Ross — Update: Expected to re-sign with Magic
The Magic were a playoff-contending team because of Terrence Ross. He thrived this past season, and his impact on Orlando’s success cannot go unnoticed. That said, he may be looking at a payday this offseason.
Ross is an athletic shooting guard with the ability to shoot from deep. Last season was his first real time breaking out as a top contributor though. He averaged over 15 points per game and made 2.7 threes per game.
While he won’t be a top-two player on a championship team, there no reason why he couldn’t be one of the Warriors main scoring options. However, like Ariza, Ross has been about the money throughout his career.
Not a great contract back in 2016, Ross was paid over $30 million for three years. Breaking out in a contract year may find himself securing a bag of over $50 million. If that’s the case, count Golden State out, but Ross’ price range is still relatively unknown.
What we do know is that he’d be a great addition in the Bay Area.
