Patrick Beverley

The gritty, bulldog of Patrick Beverley is coveted by many organizations throughout the league. If the Lakers don’t fill out their roster with a star, they’ll likely target Beverley in the free agent market.

Although Durant put 50 on the Clippers in Game 6 to end their season in the first round, Beverley, by just about everyone’s standards, did a terrific job during the series. One of the best defenders in the league, Beverley has turned it on at the offensive end as well.

Beverley shot 39.7% from three. On a team with Draymond, Thompson and Curry, you must aim for other players that are efficient from deep to space the floor. That’s what Beverley is, and alongside Curry, Beverley could make up for his defensive weaknesses much like Thompson did.

At least for now, Beverley is seeking far more than any contending team will pay him. That could mean he re-signs in LA and continues to be the face of the Clippers for the next few seasons. He’d be a great addition to Golden State, but it’s tough to see them offering him enough.
