Marcus Morris

The Golden State Warriors will be financially limited, but with Durant’s decision in limbo, the Warriors may need a player that can score on the offensive end, shooting threes at a consistent rate, and defend the team’s best versatile forward.

That player is Marcus Morris.

He was given the task of defending LeBron James and Kevin Durant when they’d come to Boston, and he seemed to do at least an above-average job. Morris was a factor in Boston offense, one of just a handful of players to average over 13 points per game.

Morris also tied his career high in defensive win shares last season and put up the second-most overall win shares of his career. What’s most notable of Morris’ season was his career-high 56.8% true shooting percentage.

He was terrific last season, and it’d be awesome if he continues his dominance in Golden State. He’s an elite Kevin Durant replacement if Durant heads elsewhere.
