Al Horford — Update: Horford signing with the Sixers

It may be virtually impossible for Horford to take a discounted deal and join the Warriors, but he should still be a top target. He’s a terrific defensive big and would cover up one of the Warriors biggest weaknesses.

For starters, Golden State, after Durant’s injury, struggled to get anything going in the frontcourt. Cousins struggled, Looney was injured and Green isn’t great at making plays for himself.

Ultimately a player that can shoot and defend at the level of Horford would be an outstanding addition.

He’s not a superstar, but he is one of the league’s most underrated big men. Horford is expecting to sign for four year and $100 million. Sadly, there’s no way Golden State could compete with that offer.

It’s a pipe dream to see a Horford-Curry pick-and-roll.
