Jabari Parker

In an unsurprising event, the Washington Wizards declined Jabari Parker’s $20 million team offer. He’s now set to be a free agent and will have numerous teams interested for the right price which is far less than $20 million.

This upcoming season will be Parker’s fifth in the league, and he’s certainly already proven his value as an elite scoring threat. During his third season, the former Blue Devil averaged over 20 points per game on 49% from the field.

Just this past season in his 23 games with the Wizards, he put up 15 points per game on over 50% shooting. His rebounding, defense and unselfishness are all a factor, but regardless of those question marks, Parker will get a nice contract.

The Warriors need a player like Parker, but his price will be out of their range. Even if they could sign him, they shouldn’t. They need better, and unless Parker is willing to take under $5 million, he won’t be joining the Dubs this offseason.
